For anyone who’s wondering, this camera is superior to the SD1200 in almost every way. The picture quality is crisper and cleaner, with noticeably less graininess than the 1200. I’ve compared them side by side, and the 1200 is way inferior in picture quality.
As for the video, this camera single-handedly crushes the 1200, since it shoots in 720p.
The only reason why I posted this is because it was so hard to find a decent website that told me which was better prior to me getting this camera.

if you have ever watch Ctfxc’s youtube videos, he uses this exact camera and he prefers it over the flip mino hd and kodak zi8, etc.
It’s $199 but it’s definitely worth it.
I’m going to buy it for my trip to Japan, but by then the new model will come out, but I will still buy the old model since it still is amazing
