www.digitalhomethoughts.com Low price buy link tinyurl.com This is a review video of the Panasonic DMC-ZS3 digital camera. This is a 10 megapixel point and shoot digital camera with an impressive 12x optical zoom, starting at 25mm and reaching all the way to 300mm. That's a lot of zoom! It uses Secure Digital memory for storage, and is SDHC compatible, allowing for up to 32 GB cards to be used. It also takes 30fps 720p videos in either AVCHD Lite or MJPEG formats, has optical image stabilization, and you can zoom while shooting a video – a feature many comparable cameras lack. Please rate and comment on the video, and subscribe to our channel. Thanks!

nice camera and it looks like the price has become quite reasonable. especially like seeing the METAL tripod mount instead of plastic (like my piece of junk Canon has)

Bought one of these bad boys this morning. Been playing with it since. AWESOME Camera. If you’re still debating gettying this camera, my advice is to GET IT. You won’t be disappointed. Keep in mind though…price point is a bit high but I believe it’s worth it.
Oh…good video, man!

One question – What do you mean when you say “alot of noise in the picture”? Thanks.

Jason, I am hoping you can answer this. How many minutes of recording time can an 8GB SDHC memory card hold ?
Thank you for reading. Loved your postings.

Noise is a digital artifact from the camera sensor – depending on the camera, it can show up as speckles, making the image look grainy, or it can show up as a “mushy” image lacking in detail. It varies from sensor to sensor. I’m sure someone smarter than I can explain it better, so if you do a Web search you’ll certainly find some answers.

A little over an hour of video on an 8 GB card. Cards are so cheap now though, get a 16 GB card.

@ThoughtsMedia Is it 1 hour for MJPEG or AVCHD format? Very nice review btw, thanks a lot! Rated this 5 stars.

That would be for AVCHD format. MJPEG would be a fair bit less. There’s not really a good reason for anyone to use MJPEG though…

( HOW CAN I EDIT AND UPLOAD.. I AM AN CAMERA AMATEUR… BUT? WHAT DO I DO ANY HELP ANYONE? ALL I HAVE IS WINDOWS MOVIE MAKER….
#22 by ThoughtsMedia on February 13th, 2010

If you’re asking how to edit AVCHD files, you need software to do it. Windows Live Movie Maker will do the trick, but you need to be running Windows Vista or Windows 7. If you’re running Windows XP, I’d say to put the camera into MJPEG mode – Windows Movie Maker should be able to edit that. Or you can buy software such as Adobe Premiere Elements to edit AVCHD files.

I don’t have the camera in front of me, so I can’t tell you the exact steps, but it’s in the menu somewhere under video…you want to set it to MJPEG. Consulting the manual might also help.
